NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. — Fernand J. Forgues passed away peacefully Saturday, May 13, in Florida, from complications related to a recent stroke.

He was born March 10, 1942, in Lewiston, and was the son of Albert and Marieanne Forgues.

He was a successful business owner of Andy’s Barn Flooring for many years and was married for 54 years to his one and only love, Doreta (Beaule) Forgues of Sabattus.

Together they have three children, Kayleen, Andrea (Dee) and Jayson and two grandchildren, Kaleb and Monroe Forgues who all still reside in Maine.

He is also survived by two brothers, Ronald and Roland Forgues, and one sister, Jeannine Forgues-Setterlund, along with nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Marieanne, and his brother, Raymond Forgues.

Fern was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus No. 106. He loved traveling, fishing, playing cards and cribbage, camping and snowmobiling, but most of all he enjoyed his time spent with family and friends.
