WEST PARIS — Mary Ann Roderick, 82, of Oxford passed away peacefully Thursday, May 11, at Ledgeview Living Center.

Mary Ann was born in Lewiston on Feb. 7, 1935, daughter of Albion and Esther Pratt and the stepdaughter of Joseph Heslop. She had a brother, John, and his wife, Joan, whom she loved dearly. She married Robert Roderick on Nov. 10, 1950. They had two children, Stephen and Margaret.

Doing ceramics was something she enjoyed, as well as bowling on the Country Way Restaurant women’s team and skiing at Mount Abram with her family. She also loved going on gambling junkets to Atlantic City, but her true love was playing beano.

She was a member of the Rock-O-Dundee Riders Snowmobile Club and the Order of the Eastern Star Oxford Chapter No. 168.

She is survived by her son, Stephen, and his wife, Sandra, of Oxford; three grandchildren, Sara Roderick and her fiancé, John LaVertu, of Norway, Sonya Roderick Locke and her husband, Bill, of Oxford, and Zachary Haines of North Bergen, N.J.; one great-grandson, William Locke; her son-in-law, Frank Staley; her sisters-in-law, Jeanette Roderick and Pat Frye; and nieces and nephews.
