RUMFORD — A Meet the Candidates Night will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Rumford Falls Auditorium, offering residents an opportunity to learn more about the candidates seeking to fill two open three-year positions on the Rumford Board of Selectmen.
The event is sponsored by EnvisionRumford.
The seats are presently held by Mark Belanger and Jeff Sterling. While Belanger is running again, Sterling has decided not to seek re-election.
Steve Dyment, William “Bill” Porter, Jon Starr and James Theriault have submitted papers to run for the open seats.
Randall Therrien of EnvisionRumford will be the master of ceremonies for the event and will be the only one asking questions. However, there will be time provided to address written questions from the audience.
The election for the candidates will be held from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 13 at the American Legion.
