LEWISTON — Faye V. Tarr, 83, of Lisbon Falls went home to be with the Lord on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 14, at the Russell Park Manor.

She was born in Sabattus, Nov. 6, 1933, the daughter of Edward I. and Florence Smith Gayton. She attended local schools in Sabattus and in 1951 married Gerald Tarr of Lisbon Falls, the love of her life.

Her hobbies were knitting and quilting, keeping in touch with family and friends, and camping at the Birches in Litchfield.

She is survived by her two children, Darlene Tarr and Gerald “Jerry” Tarr Jr. and his wife, Sherry, all of Lisbon Falls; sisters, Sharon Lewellyn of Florida, and Sheila Lavallee of Lisbon Falls; brothers, John Gayton of Sabattus, and Donald Gayton of Connecticut; grandchildren, Ben, Ashley and husband, Dan, and Kim; and great-grandchildren, Ariana, Kayla, Kassidy, Landon, Ben and Liam.

She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald, in 2004; great-grandson, Gabriel; and by 15 siblings.
