BRIDGTON — Chester L. “Chet” Buck, 65, of Stoneham died unexpectedly Monday, May 22, at the Bridgton Hospital.

He was born in Norway on April 13, 1952, a son of Carroll “Squeak” and Patricia Ann “Pat” (Holt) Buck. He started school in Bethlehem, N.H., and later went through the Fryeburg school system, graduating from Fryeburg Academy in 1971.

As a high school student, he worked at Pleasant Mountain in Bridgton. He later worked at the Fred P. Saunders mill in Bridgton before getting in construction beginning in Connecticut and later in Maine, some of which time he worked alongside his brother, Terry. During some down time, he attended culinary school and later worked in residential carpentry in the Lovell and Fryeburg areas.

Chet loved his rock & roll music loud and his motorcycles and hot rods fast. He was a member of the Wolf Pack and Route 26 Uptown Cruizahs car clubs.

He is survived by his siblings, Terry Buck and his wife, Mary Jane, of Turner, Carroll Buck, Jr. and his significant other, Dawn Kidder, of North Waterford, Vickie Pike and her husband, Steve, of South Waterford, and Cynthia Fox and her husband, Peter, of Stoneham; five nieces; two nephews; and 13 great-nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father, Squeak, on Aug. 4, 2005; and his mother, Pat on Sept. 8, 2015.
