• May 23, 3:01 p.m.: A Roxbury Road resident reported the theft of a gaming system and prescription pills from their apartment. Officer Rob Drouin is investigation.

• May 22, 4:05 p.m.: Angel Stillkey, 29, Rumford, was arrested by officer Caroline Casey on a warrant charging failure to appear. She was transported to the Oxford County Jail in Paris.

• May 22, 1:20 p.m.: A Roxbury Road woman reported receiving a check for $2,000 from someone buying a $500 item from her. The buyer told her to keep the extra money. Police Chief Roy Hodsdon said the check proved to be fake, and because the woman did not cash it she didn’t lose her property. Hodsdon said anyone with a concern about a check can contact police or the bank for authentication.

• May 21, 7:37 p.m.: Angela Dean, 34, Dixfield was arrested by officer Eric Bernier on a warrant charging failure to appear. She posted $400 cash bail and was released.

• May 21, 5 p.m.: Officer Bernier responded to a complaint from a woman who said someone stole her cellphone and cigarettes while she was working at a Main Street business. 

• May 20, 9:30 p.m.: Zachary Penley, 19, Rumford, was given a summons on a charge of illegal possession of alcohol by a minor by officer Bernier. Penley was transported by Med-Care to Rumford Hospital.

• May 20, 5:44 p.m.: A Roxbury Road resident reported the theft of jewelry, cash and a driver’s license from an unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway. Lt. Dan Carrier is investigating. 

• May 20, 8:44 p.m.: A Roxbury Road resident reported a wallet and checkbook taken from an unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway. At 4:30 p.m. on May 21, the owner was notified the items were located by the gate at the Mexico Recreation Park.

• May 20, 3 p.m.: A Gleason Street resident returned home to find a 13-year-old girl, an 8-year-old boy and a 5-year-old boy in the home. The juveniles found the owner’s hide-a-key and gotten in. The juveniles were released to their parents. Lt. Carrier is handling the case. 

• May 19, 11:37 a.m.: Police were advised that a female had been thrown through a porch window on Carlton Avenue and was bleeding. Jachin Caron, 27, who lives in an apartment in the building, was covered in blood and arrested on charges of domestic violence assault and criminal mischief. He and his girlfriend were treated at Rumford Hospital. Caron was then transported to the county jail in Paris. Chief Hodsdon and Lt. Carrier were assisted by Dixfield and Rumford police and the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office. 

• May 18, 8:23 a.m.: Officer Drouin responded to a report of someone driving away from The Big Apple on River Road after pumping $52 worth of gas and not paying. The suspect was described as a balding male in a dark-colored Toyota pickup.

• May 17, 2:43 a.m.: Kenneth Snow, 52, of Tucker Street in Mexico, was arrested there on a charge of  domestic violence assault by officer Casey. Snow was released on $1,200 unsecured bail.
