AUBURN — Richard A. Mercier, 77, (better known as Mitch, Richard, Richie, Dick) passed away on May 27 with family by his side.
Mitch was born on Dec. 28, 1939, to Auguste and Olivette Mercier.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Margo Proctor; sons, Randy, Rodney, Scott and Tim; and grandchildren, Lillian, Wesley, Reese, Jon, Amanda and Lindsey; as well as great-grandchildren.
Mitch was born and raised in Lewiston, then moved to Auburn with his wife. He retired from Phillips Elmet. He will be lovingly remembered as his boys’ and grandkids’ biggest fan. He never missed an opportunity to cheer them and the team on.
