AUBURN — Police on Friday were searching for a local man said to have crossed the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Bridge at 120 mph on his motorcycle.
At about 9:30 p.m., police in Lewiston alerted their counterparts in Auburn that the biker had sped into their city. Around the same time, a car was reported to have been struck by a motorcycle at the rotary near Walmart.
The motorcycle rider reportedly fled the scene.
Police believe they know who was riding the motorcycle, although he remained on the lam later Friday night.
