Tuesday, June 13, at 6:30 p.m. — rain or shine — blues, Ccountry and rock ‘n roll musician and singer Mary Murphy will light the Turner gazebo stage with her Patsy Klein, Billie Holliday, Aretha Franklin gutsy music, along with touches of sweet French tunes. She plays an accomplished piano, and fans love her up and down the East Coast, from Tennessee to Canada. She has won several awards in the country-gospel genre from competitions.
A hat will be passed to pay the musicians, since the event is not funded by the town. If it does rain, we meet downstairs in the community room under the library. For more information, or to become involved, call Paula at 754-0954. Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair, a picnic and a blanket.
