NEW GLOUCESTER — Joseph “Joe” Davis was elected to serve his first three-year term on the Board of Selectmen on Tuesday.

Davis garnered 311 votes against write-in candidate Douglas McAtee’s 133.

Write-in candidate Gary Harriman won his fourth term on the School Administrative District 15 board with 55 votes. In addition, Laura Jane Sturgis received nine votes as a write-in candidate.

Seven write-ins for a seat on the New Gloucester Water District board each received a vote. Officials said the district will have to decide what to do about the vacant slot.
