MEXICO — Voters on Tuesday elected Clifford Stewart and Thomas “TJ” Williams to the Board of Selectmen, Town Clerk Penny Duguay said.
Stewart, who finished the last four months of a three-year term vacated by Albert Aniel, won a three-year term with 138 votes.
Williams, who served on the Budget Committee, had 119 votes and will fill another seat on the board. Selectman Andy Dupuis chose not to run for re-election.
Also running was former Selectman Marc Dupuis, who received 91 votes.
The 231 people casting ballots easily passed all articles on the warrant.
Town Manager Jack Gaudet said much of the increase in the $3.12 million town budget is reflected by a $40,000 insurance increase and a 1.5 percent cost-of-living adjustment, totaling $49,331.
