LEWISTON — Dina B. Brochu, 65, of Auburn died on Wednesday, June 14, at d’Youville Pavilion with her loving husband by her side following a long illness.
She was born in Van Buren, on May 27, 1952, the daughter of the late Joseph and Joan (Ruest) Levesque and had been a resident of this community for most of her life.
She was educated in Van Buren schools and graduated from Edward Little High School, Adult Education in 1998.
Dina had always struggled with chronic pain but loved life and enjoyed it to the fullest, always lighting things up wherever she went. She had the biggest heart and her beauty was inside and out, always ready to help anyone in need.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and working in her flower garden while engaging the neighbors in conversation.
Dina will be sadly missed by her loving husband, children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Paul E. Brochu of Auburn, whom she married on January 3, 1976; three sons, Scott Brochu and his wife, Tanya, of Roy, Utah, Greg Brochu and his companion, Brianna Paine, of Auburn, and Ron Brochu of Auburn; five grandchildren, Gavin, Ethan and Kalyn Brochu and Tim and Izzabella Peiler; one brother, Dan Levesque of Van Buren; seven sisters, Della Cyr and her husband, Jean, of Bangor, Jenny Levesque of Portland, Darlene Levesque and her fiancé, Leo Labbe, of New Sweden, Arlene Levesque of Van Buren, Debbie Levesque of Van Buren, Wanda Lafrance and her husband, Glen, of Easton and Cathy Brown of Fort Fairfield; and many nieces and nephews.
