NORWAY — Dorothy M. Watson, 95, of Norway passed away Thursday, June 22, at Stephens Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Masardis on August 19, 1921, the daughter of Perley and Beryl (McKay) Merrill. She graduated from Norway High School and went on to work for Ashton’s Drug Store before becoming a bookkeeper for Norway Shoe Shop for 29 years. On February 21, 1941, she married Herbert Watson; they enjoyed 63 years of marriage before his passing on December 2, 2004.

She enjoyed knitting, motorcycling with Herbert, camping at Winslow Park and Fryeburg Fair, snowmobiling and dancing. She also enjoyed the holidays, especially decorating for them. Dorothy loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by sons-in-law, Bruce Skinner of Norway and Randy Thomas of Minot; four grandchildren, Elizabeth and David Knox of South Paris, Jo’Anna and Mark McKay of Otisfield, Stacey Johnson and Eric Berube of Oxford, and Robert and Carol Johnson of Norway; five great-grandchildren, Christopher and Taylor Knox of North Carolina, Justin Robbins of Oxford, Jessica Robbins of South Paris, and Jordan Fadden of Oxford; and a very good friend, Nancy Weymouth of Oxford.

She was predeceased by her two daughters, Linda Skinner and Vernita Thomas; and a grandson, William Johnson.
