AUBURN — Lorraine R. Audet, 78, of Auburn, went on to join her many angels in Heaven on Saturday, July 1, at the Clover Manor Health Care Facility, following a long illness.

She was born in Lewiston on March 31, 1939, the daughter of the late Simeon and Alfreda (Dube) Levesque, and had been a resident of this community all of her life. She fell in love and married the man who worshiped her always, Robert O. Audet on April 29, 1961. Together they raised three children. Robert passed away on March 27, 1986.

Lorraine was a homemaker most of her life and later retired from the Ramada Inn as a hostess. She dreamed two things in life: going to Nashville, Tenn., which her husband worked hard to grant her, and seeing Hawaii. She was able to not only visit Hawaii but was witness to her granddaughter’s wedding while there. Her greatest joy in life was time spent with her family.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Morrow of Lewiston and Denise Lemieux and her husband, Robert of Lewiston; five grandchildren, Jessica Ritz and her husband, Jeffrey, of Lewiston, Mandy Pinard and her husband, Robert, of Lewiston, Joshua and Nathan Lemieux of Lewiston and Benjamin Lemieux of Lewiston, but currently stationed in Okinawa; her five precious great-grandchildren, Beckham, Callie, Robby, Paige and Sophia, all of Lewiston, they were truly the lights of her life; one brother, Raymond Levesque of Lisbon; one sister, Linda Danforth of Lisbon; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Marc Audet; her sister, Norma Campeau; and her son-in-law, Michael Morrow.

The family would like to express sincere gratitude to the staff of Sarah Frye Home, who lovingly cared for Lorraine for eight years. They would also like to thank Dr. Hattan and the staff of Clover Manor and Beacon Hospice for their dedication at the end of their mom’s life.

Online condolences and sharing of memories may be expressed at www.lynchbrothers.com.
