BETHEL — The annual Mineral and Gem Show will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, July 8 and 9, at Telstar Regional High School on Route 26.

Admission is $3 for those over 12.

Eighteen mineral, gem, fossil and jewelry dealers, many from Maine, will be featured. There will be hourly door prizes and a grand door prize of a five-carat trillion cut rock crystal set in sterling silver donated by Northeast Gems of Fryeburg.

The show is the main source of revenue for the Oxford County Mineral & Gem Association, which provides scholarships for students graduating from Telstar and Oxford Hills Comprehensive high school and youth attending the University of Maine 4-H Camp & Learning Center in Bryant Pond.

A continuous silent auction will feature good minerals, one of Jane Perham’s out-of-print books and other items.

The association was founded in 1948. It meets the first Friday of every month, except January, July and September, at the Oxford Hills Middle School, Pine Street, South Paris.
