There will be a food sale. Proceeds will benefit the Post 58, American Legion.

FAYETTE — A silent auction and yard sale to benefit Starling Hall will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 15, at Fayette Central School, Route 17.

The silent auction will feature a unique Nelson Manufacturing Tractor Lawn Sprinkler, which travels on the hose. There will also be raffles, arts and crafts and gift certificates.

RUMFORD — The family and friends of Kevin Stanley are hosting a benefit ticket auction on Saturday, July 15, at the Rumford Eagles 1248, 129 Rumford Ave.

Doors will open at 11 a.m. and the drawing starts at 2 p.m.

Stanley has been battling Stage 4 kidney cancer since January.

WATERFORD — An indoor yard sale to benefit the Wilkins House and the Waterfod Congregational Church will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 15, at the meetinghouse on Plummer Hill Road.

WATERFORD — The Wilkins Community House will hold an indoor yard sale during the Waterford Summer Breakfast in its cool basement from 7:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 19, at the foot of Plummer Hill Road next to the Waterford Congregational Church. 

Future indoor yard sales will coincide with breakfasts on Wednesdays, Aug. 2 and Aug. 16. 

Proceeds will go to the maintenance funds for the Wilkins Community House and the Waterford Congregational Church.

WAYNE — The Cary Memorial Library summer book sale will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 15, at the Williams House, 14 Old Winthrop Road. 

Four rooms will be filled from floor to ceiling with gently used books, DVDs and CDs, most of which will sell for $1 each.

Future dates will be 10 a.m. to noon Monday, July 17; from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, July 18 to 20; and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 22.

The bag sale, where $2 buys a bag of books, will be on July 22.

PARIS — AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary 777 will hold a Chinese auction to benefit the Travis Mills Foundation from 2 to 7 p.m. Saturday, July 22, at the American Legion Hall on Church Street.
