SABATTUS — A workshop on astral projection will be presented from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, July 23, at the Spiritualist Church of Eternal Life, 352 Crowley Road.
The workshop will be given by Louisa Roof, certified medium and licentiate minister, National Spiritualist Association of Churches. She has been a spiritualist since joining the Victorian Spiritualists’ Union in Melborne, Australia, in 1973, the oldest continuously operating Spiritualist Church in the world. She brings a lifetime of study and practice in astral projection.
The workshop will answer questions such as:
* How is astral projection different from dreams and near-death experiences?
* What are the benefits and dangers of astral projection?
* How can I prepare to do this myself?
* Where will I go, and who will I meet?
* What does it feel like to leave your physical body?
There will be no handouts, but notes may be taken.
The cost is $20 per person. Advance registration is recommended.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
