The town of Bradley is seeking residents who wish to finish unfinished term of a seat on the town council.
The seat was left void by the announcement last week of the resignation of Diane Walter, who stepped down for personal reasons. The term of Walter, who twice was elected to the council, expires in June 2018.
Under town charter, the town could opt to hold a special election or appoint a resident to the unexpired term. The council took that latter action earlier this year, when Karen Richard was apointed in April to fill a short-term vacancy on the Bradley Town Council.
Town Manager Melissa Doane said it would be her recommendation to make an appointment to fill the position until the June 2018 election. The council is slated to take up that recommendation at its June 25 meeting.
“It’s a great way to be involved for anyone who wants to help the town out,” said Doane.
Any residents interested in being considered for the position should call Doane at 827-7725 during regular business hours.
