ORONO – Local business owners interested in getting exposure at UMaine athletic events are encouraged to attend a free breakfast meeting at 8 a.m. on July 27 at the Alfornd Arena’s Family Lounge.
According to Old Town Economic Development Director Ron Harriman, an effort is afoot between Old Town, Orono and the university’s athletic department to offer businesses ways to engage UMaine to be promoted in affordable ways at events, whether they be the scoreboard, on radio, or in other manners.
“The breakfast will offer a discussion on ways for all businesses to work with the university,” said Harriman. “They’re looking at things such as group packages that would help smaller businesses that aren’t part of advertising and promotions now at UMaine.”
Business owners owners from Old Town who wish to take part should RSVP Harriman at [email protected]. In Orono, please contact Katlyn Howett at [email protected].
