BRUNSWICK — Koleen Evan (Lister) Painchaud, 60, of Wales died on Sunday, July 16, in Brunswick, after a nine-year battle with melanoma.
She was born on April 17, 1957, in Caribou, the daughter of Irwin Albert and Patricia Charlene (Nadeau) Rafford. Koleen was an avid quilter for over 30 years. She was the proud owner of Quiltworks Unlimited, Quilters Oasis, and the Quilted Cardinal. She often made quilts to help raise money for charity events as well as donating many to several organizations for people in need.
She enjoyed her perennial gardens at home and loved sitting by the pond enjoying the sounds of the waterfall, wildlife and the crackle of the fire pit.
Koleen was predeceased by her parents.
She will be missed by her husband, Brian George Painchaud of Wales; her daughter, Tiffany Evans Lapointe of Lewiston; her grandson, Connor James Larrabee of Lewiston; her brother, Nathan G. Corbett of Caribou; her sisters, Diana M. Gallagher of Richmond, N.H., and Tresina K. (Lister) Rusham of Tucson, Ariz.; her niece, Michele L. Murphy of Plymouth, Mass.; and her stepfather, Winfield A. Rafford of Caribou.
