He employed hundreds of people over the years and had long-lasting bonds with many who have been longstanding employees or those who went on to begin their own businesses. Brett made his home and ran his company in North Monmouth on Wilson Pond — “Carter Country.” He was a dedicated son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend. He loved his community and was a good citizen, volunteering services and making contributions to many organizations.

Brett enjoyed mowing his giant lawn, driving, vacationing in the tropics, snowmobiling and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be remembered for his love of family, his love of sports and his competitive nature, his unbelievable work ethic and the pride he had in his company.
