Knitting Guild to meet

OXFORD — The Western Maine Knitting Guild will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1, at Eleanor Heidrich’s home, Main Street (Route 26).

Those attending should bring any additional items for the Oxford Fair. The theme for this year is “around the house” or household items.

The guild will have a show and tell. Weather permitting, this will be an annual pool party. Members should bring something to share for the pot luck luncheon and a bathing suit and towel to swim.

New members are welcome to join and should contact the guild.

VFW Post 9787 to meet

PARIS — Floyd A. Harlow Jr. VFW Post 9787 will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2, at the post home, 58 East Main St.
