WALES — Lakeside Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, will continue its 118th year with the official visitation by Catherine Wood, associate grand conductress, at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8, at the Masonic Building, 233 Centre Road.

The worthy matron, secretary, conductress and associate conductress are requested to arrive to assist in the work prior to the meeting.

In July, the meeting honored past matrons and patrons. An “Eastern Star Training Awards for Religious Leadership” Supper raised funds for Lakeside, Pioneer and Pine Cone chapters for their ESTARL donations to Grand Chapter. ESTARL scholarships are awarded to religious scholars in their second year of studies.

The worthy matron, secretary, chaplain and Martha traveled to the “Dreams Can Come True” Grand Family session at the Masonic Temple in Portland. A buffet luncheon was served in the Knight Templar rooms. One hundred twenty-five members from all over the state represented 39 of the 59 chapters.

The women will be in colored gowns for the meeting and the men in tuxedos or dark suits. All members and Eastern Star visitors are welcome. District 4 members have the Traveling Abby.
