OXFORD — Pastor Lloyd Waterhouse of Grace Fellowship Church invites area children to a Vacation Bible School with the theme of “Maker Fun Factory.”

It will take place from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday, Aug. 7 to 11, at the Grace Fellowship Church, Poplar Street. It will be a week of experiences and fun for children age 3 to 14. Parents are welcome to stay with their children.

“We have a great crew of people excited to make this a special week of fun and learning for the kids,” said Bible School Director Jo Bradeen. They will have Bible lessons, KidVid Theater, snacks, games, crafts and music.

There will be a closing program at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 11, at the church. Parents and friends can hear the children sing, see a video review of the week, share their experiences and get their certificates. Refreshments will follow the program.

AUBURN — Vacation Bible School will be held at Court Street Baptist Church, 129 Court St., on Monday through Friday, Aug. 7 to 11. Children will meet in the vestry from 9 to noon each day.

The theme is “Big Heart Farms: Where God’s Fruit Grows,” which centers on Galatians 5:16-26, the ways of spiritual growth. The lessons show the benefits of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

The free program consists of Bible lessons, games, crafts, songs, and snacks. Children age 3 to grade six are welcome.
