FRYEBURG (AP) — Emergency crews in Maine have closed a major roadway after a tractor-trailer crash caused a diesel fuel spill.

WCSH-TV reports a tractor-trailer spilled 120 gallons of diesel fuel after hitting a downed tree along U.S. Route 302 in Fryeburg Tuesday morning. Police have closed Route 302 down between Hemlock Bridge and Battleground Road.

Police say no one was hurt in the crash.

Authorities say the scene is dangerous. A hazmat team is working to clean up the spill.

Route 302 is closed in Fryeburg due to a tractor trailer crash. It is closed from Battleground Road to Stanley Hill Road.
