POLAND — The Poland Spring Preservation Society will host the Crooked Creek Band at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 7. Based out of Mechanic Falls, the Crooked Creek Band covers the rock hits from yesterday and today with just a hint of blues and country. The band includes Kerry O’Leary on vocals, Ben Flagg on guitar, Russ Hart on bass and backing vocals and Don Hart on drums.
Concerts will take place outside at the gazebo at Poland Spring Resort. In case of rain, concerts will be held in the All Soul’s Chapel. All concerts are free and open to the public.
On Wednesday, Aug, 9, the Wicked Wednesday program presents “Route 66.” The full episode will be shown that featured Poland Spring. Memorabilia and photos from the show’s time there will be shared. Details on how the show came to Poland Spring, including Jack Paar’s influence and the influence of the many iconic and legendary stars who came to Poland Spring. The presentation will be held in the All Souls Chapel and will start at 6:30 p.m.
A suggested donation of $5 will benefit the Poland Spring Preservation Society. Water and cookies will be provided.
