Friday, Aug. 4, Jenny Lou Drew and Scott Morgan debut at Guthries, 115 Middle St., Lewiston, for a night of all original music. Hear the songs and the stories behind them. Since Jenny Lou Drew and the Damage Done released a self-titled debut in 2015, tracks off of the album have been in rotation on several Maine radio stations and beyond. Drew’s songs have been making finals in songwriting competitions including the semi-finals of the International Songwriting Competition and the finals of the Maine Songwriter’s Association. Between 2005 and 2010 Drew’s work with A Moving Train received several nominations in the Portland Phoenix Best of Music polls, including Best Female Vocalist, and hit international radar with mentions in Jazz Times and Keyboard Magazine. Drew considers herself a songwriter first and foremost. The show begins at 8 p.m. There is no cover charge. FMI: call 376-3344.
