Paula J. Abbott

MINOT — Paula Jean Abbott, 73, of Minot gained her angel wings Sunday, July 30. She is now resting peacefully in heaven with her husband, Larry Abbott, who passed seven years ago.

Our precious mother was a very spiritual, fun-loving, strong, independent, funny, selfless, stubborn and an amazing mother. Mom loved going for long rides in the car getting lost. It didn’t matter the destination, as long as she was riding. She loved the ocean, where she and dad would go every summer almost every weekend.

Mom loved to be with family and friends. We girls loved to make her laugh; she always shook her head at us, saying, “My crazy girls,” while laughing at us. It always made our day to spend time with Mom.

During her last days, we never left her side. She was very comfortable. A huge thank-you to our sister, Crystal Robichaud, and husband, Scott Robichaud, for moving Mom into their home and caring for her 24/7. It was always with love and respect for Mom and put all of our minds at ease knowing she was there.

Thank you to the whole family for being there for Mom. We all did our part in making Mom as comfortable and peaceful as possible. Our mom has been our rock throughout life as well as our friend — she was so strong.

Paula is survived by her companion, Mike Dube, who walked into Mom’s life and awakened her soul again after her late husband passed. We will be forever grateful to you, Mike; brothers, Albert and Cookie (Frank); and sister, Jackie; children and their spouses, Joseph and Laura, Paula, Harvey Jr. and Cynthia, Nyomi and Ray, Crystal and Scott, Julia and Jeff; grandchildren, Timmy, Devon, Joseph, Paul, Olivia, Harvey III, Alex, Haley, Randall, Karena, Amanda, Erica, Nathan, Rocco, Shane, Kyle and Felicia; and many great-grandchildren.

Mummy, you are and will remain truly missed always.

We all love you very much, our precious mummy. Until we meet again in heaven.

We love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck.
