LEWISTON — The Edward Little High School Class of 1972 celebrated their 45th reunion during the weekend of July 28 to 30. The Ramada Lewiston Hotel and Conference Center hosted 160 attendees.

The weekend kicked off with Friday morning breakfast at Happy Days Diner in New Auburn. Although not a reunion event, out-of-town classmates took the opportunity to breakfast with classmates who meet there every Friday morning.

A meet-and-greet gathering and Trivia Night at the Ramada, with drinks, munchies, prizes and a 50/50 drawing, followed on Friday evening. Saturday morning’s golf scramble for the classmates was held at Apple Valley Golf Course followed by lunch at the Gridiron Restaurant and Sports Pub.

Later, 116 classmates met in the Ramada ballroom, where conversation was punctuated by dancing to Ron Gudroe’s DJ mix of  ’70s tunes. A slide show of photos, past and present, a table of scrapbooks and other memorabilia, and the Empty Chair honoring classmates who are no longer here were included.

Sunday morning, classmates gathered for breakfast at the Ramada, before saying goodbye until the 50th reunion.

The organizing committee consisted of Cindy Austin Sloat, Karen Nichols, Pauline Morin Paladino, Diane Bean, Diane Lashua Phipps, June Kordalski, Nancy Williams Taylor, Pat Kelley Phipps, Paula Cowles Mikkelsen, Murielle Page, Candy Bower Gleason, Gail Charpentier and Brad Sloat, with help from Don Martel, Bob Sawyer, Diana Collins Gordon, Jim Nutting, Jeannie Twaddle Deletetsky, Erland Torrey, Linda Wilson Cote, Jeff Taber and Tim Walker.
