Weld Extension Homemakers’ farmers market

WELD — The Weld Extension Homemakers’ annual Farmers Market will be held Saturday, Aug. 12, between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Weld Historical Society.

There will be fresh produce, pies, baked goods, hot dogs, sandwiches, candles, crafts, raffles and cookbooks.

The Weld Extension Homemakers is a community service organization, and all proceeds from the market are directed back into the community.

Garden club final summer meeting

WILTON — The Mt. Blue Area Garden Club will hold its final summer meeting and garden tour at the home and gardens of Liselle Batt and Austin Holland at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, at Butterfield Farm, 142 Swett Road.

A social half hour will be followed by the meeting and tour of the gardens. Guests and members are asked to bring a chair and plant to swap. Light refreshments will be provided by hostesses Marion Hutchinson, Charlie Woodcock and Vicky Webster. The public is welcome to attend meetings and garden tours.
