AUBURN — The Auburn Recreation Department is announcing the second annual Auburn Summer Festival to be held Friday through Sunday, Aug. 11 to 13, at various locations throughout Auburn. All events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted.

The main events will include:

Friday, Aug. 11: Box Car Movie Night at Ingersoll Turf Facility, 7 p.m. showing of “UP.”

Saturday, Aug. 12: Androscoggin River clean-up from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Baxter Outdoor 5k Trail Run at Mt. Apatite, 10 a.m. race start time.

Summer Block Party, Make A Wish fundraiser, 1 to 9 a.m., Mac’s Grill. Includes kids’ carnival, local bands, silent auction, beer garden and food.

Fireworks at 9 p.m. at Mac’s Grill.

Sunday, Aug. 13: Lake Auburn Open Mini-Golf Tournament at Tabor’s, 10:30 a.m.

Troy Barnies’ Pop-Up Basketball Clinic from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Union Street Gully Courts
