Ross and Christine Swain attended the annual Maine Volunteer Lake Monitoring Program (VLMP) conference at the Great Outdoors in Turner. The event was attended by approximately 150 VLMP “citizen scientists” from throughout the state. The Swains are volunteer monitors for Roxbury/Ellis Pond. Ross is shown in front of the display table where they explained how they were able to create a successful crowd-funding campaign to raise over $1,000 in less than a month for needed equipment.
