LEWISTON — Janice C. Harris,73, of Winthrop, passed away at the Russell Park Rehabilitation and Living Center in Lewiston on Thursday, Aug. 10, with her family by her side. She fought a courageous three-year battle with ovarian cancer.

Janice was born in Lewiston on Jan. 6, 1944, to her parents, Annette (Berton) Baril and Arthur Baril. She attended Auburn schools. She married the love of her life, Brian S. Harris, on Aug. 31, 1961. She worked as a waitress, bookkeeper and para-legal with Levey & Wessler in Winthrop. Jan and Brian moved to Winthrop in 1966 where they raised three children. She enjoyed gardening, making pottery, cross stitch, lace angels and especially card making with her “Yahoo” friends. She and Brian enjoyed their annual trips to Kissimmee, Fla. She loved and was loved by her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Brian, of Winthrop; daughter, Julie Harris and grandson, Chrystian Harris, of Trenton; son, Scott Harris and grandson, Chandler Harris, of Monmouth; granddaughter, Jaime Campbell-Lavallee of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and their mother, Neiley Harris, of Portland; son, Steven and wife, Althea Harris; grandsons, Justin Harris and Trace Harris of China; brothers, Dean and wife, Brenda Baril, of Orlando, Fla.; Kim and wife, Linda Baril, of Barrington, N.H.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; sister, Constance Bell; and brothers, James Baril, Arthur Baril Jr. and Gary Baril.
