New Ventures Maine is offering an online, one-hour, tuition-free workshop on self-employment from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31.
The workshop is open to adults in Maine who are interested in starting a small business. The workshop is to help people decide if self-employment is the right choice. The class covers the pros and cons of owning a business, the steps needed for startup, the major elements of a business plan, and the many resources available.
