LOMA LINDA, Calif. — Thomas Francis D’Amboise, 59, of Palm Springs, CA passed on after a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, August 12. He was born in Lewiston, Maine on May, 6, 1958. He attended St. Joseph’s School, St. Dominic’s Regional High School and graduated with a Business Administration degree from the University of Southern Maine.

Tom had a gregarious, outgoing personality and was passionate about bringing family and friends together around food and fun. One of his favorite roles was being an uncle to his many nieces and nephews, putting a great deal of energy into hosting fun events for them such as hayrides, winter carnival or dressing as the Grinch. His passions were cooking, ice hockey and gardening.

Tom was an active member of the Palm Springs Sunny Dunes 7 AM Attitude Adjustment Meeting. In March of this year Tom proudly celebrated his 16th year anniversary of sobriety.

He was loved by all of his large family. He is survived by his life partner, Joel Chong of Palm Springs, Calif.; his parents, Paul and Catherine D’Amboise of New Gloucester; his siblings and their spouses, Patrick and Denise D’Amboise of New Gloucester, Maureen and William Sproul of New Gloucester, Kevin D’Amboise and Cecile Laplante of South Portland, Kathleen and Kevin Jenkins of Memphis, Tenn., and James and Stephanie D’Amboise of Falmouth; and numerous nieces and nephews.
