LEWISTON — Those wishing to honor a veteran with roots in Maine may submit names to be placed on Monument 30 in the Lewiston Veterans Memorial Park.
The name of a family member or friend who has served in any war or past conflict, living or dead, in any service of the U.S. Military, may be submitted. The only conditions are that the veteran have roots in Maine, his family lives in Maine and has an honorable discharge.
Any documents to verify service are acceptable, including a photo, a DD214 or copy of discharge document.
The price to have a name inscribed is $35.
Monument 30 will be unveiled at 10 a.m. Saturday of Memorial Day weekend.
