Coach: Bob Karcher (second year)
Conference: MVC Class: C South
Last year’s record: 1-13
Returning players: Seniors — Jonah Downs, Wes Libby, Tyler Brown; Juniors — Jeremy St. Germain, Nate Child, Zeb Houghtoun: Sophomores — Nolan Downs, Mateeo Lapointe, John Snowman, Damien Nadeau.
Key losses: Colin Woodhead, Justin Grignon, Noah Brown, Justin Cantin, Victor Verril, Wyatt Lufkin, Brandon L’Italian
Promising newcomers: PJ Merrill, Derek Ducharme, Spencer Jacques, David Callender
What to expect: The Cougars are young, with only three seniors, and the program has relatively small numbers. But Karcher said there is talent in the lineup, and the team hopes to be competitive and steal some wins against some good teams in the Mountain Valley Conference. The Cougars expect to be improved from last year.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
