AUBURN — John J. McWilliams passed away on Friday, Aug. 25 at Hospice House, Auburn to be with his wife and his Lord.
John was born on July 4, 1935, in Auburn, the son of Richard and Sophia Dubois McWilliams. He attended school in Hiram and worked in the woods until he moved to Auburn and worked in the shoe shops.
John attended the Church of the Nazarene in Auburn for many years and participated in many activities of the church. It was there that he met and married his soulmate, Winnifred, who predeceased him in 1998. John lived with his daughter, Joyce until his sickness and moved to Russell Park Manor in Lewiston.
Survivors include his sons, Robert Dick of Auburn, and Donald Dickson of Connecticut; one daughter, Joyce Dorman of Lewiston; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by two sons, Richard and Roger Dick.
