If your family is interested in joining Cub Scout Pack 76, we are having an information session on September 12 at 6pm at the Old Town Elementary School.

Kindergarten = Lions -NEW!

1st Grade = Tiger Scouts

2nd Grade = Wolf Scouts

3rd Grade = Bear Scouts

4th Grade = Webelo Scouts

5th Grade = Arrow of Light

Each grade makes up a den, and the scouts work on achievements as a den, at home with their family and as a pack during service projects or camping events. Siblings can join in activities also. We know how hard it is to find family time these days and scouting really is a great way to have the family time that we all desire!

Our most recent Pack Event was during the Solar Eclipse viewing at the Emera Astronomy Center. Pack 76 and parent volunteers organized tables for snacks, drinks, and a fun photo board, all free to the public. It was a ton of fun and our scouts earned their Eclipse Patch and made it on the news! We can’t wait to share more fun with some new Cub Scouts!

Next up, we are doing a service project on Sunday, September 3 at Hirundo Wildlife Refuge to help tidy one of their trails. This is a great time to come meet some scout families and help the Refuge to prepare for their Open House on September 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (rain date Sept. 10). They will have team canoe races, peace canoe races on Pushaw Stream, and family races on Lac d’ Or. Sign up your team for the canoe tug-o-war or the blind-fold paddle. Sounds like a lot of fun and everyone is welcome!
