NORWAY – Kevin Hancock, president of Hancock Lumber, will speak about his book, “Not for Sale: Finding Center in the Land of Crazy Horse,” from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sept. 21 at Norway Memorial Library.
Copies of the book will be on sale for $20 at the library in advance and at the event. A portion of the proceeds will go to the library.
“Not for Sale” won the 2015 National Indie Excellence Award, the 2016 Independent Authors Network Award, and the 2016 New York Book Festival Award. The memoir traces Hancock’s journey to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. Through a series of successive solo trips, he learned several powerful messages that he will share with the audience. He has used these lessons to enhance his life and the business he leads.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
You can read more here about our commenting policy and terms of use. More information is also found on our FAQs.
