AUBURN — J.A. Richard Drouin, 82, of Lewiston, died on Aug. 31 at the Hospice House.
Born in Lewiston, he was the son of Armand and Rose Blanche Drouin. He attended Jordan School in Lewiston. He served in the Army from 1955 to 1958.
Richard retired as a corrections officer in Troup County, Ga.; prior to that he owned a coin laundry in Melbourne, Fla. for many years. He was also a hand sewer, designer and engineer of shoes.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lorraine; and his four children, Debra Garth of Lewiston, Elaine Drouin of Newnan, Ga., David Drouin and his wife, Lori of Turner and daughter, Lynda and husband, Dave of Springfield. He is also survived by three grandsons, Joshua, Tony and Derek; one granddaughter, Stormy Rose; and one great-grandson, Kurtis.
