LEWISTON — Roland and Jane Hamel of Lewiston celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Aug. 12 at the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Bob Cormier in Westbrook.
They were married at St. Louis Church in Auburn on Aug. 9, 1947. They have been residents of the Lewiston-Auburn area their entire lives.
They have two adult children, Diane Cormier of Westbrook and Donald Hamel of Lewiston; and one adult grandson, Dr. Craig Fournier of Albany, New York.
