SOUTH PARIS — Amos A. Dunn, 87, of Mechanic Falls, died Monday, Sept. 11, at the Maine Veterans’ Home.
He was born in Lewiston on June 29, 1930, the son of Philip E. and Grace Jordan Dunn. He attended Poland schools and graduated from Edward Little High School and served in the U. S. Air Force. He married Marilyn Skinner on Aug. 29, 1953.
He worked in the family business, P. E. Dunn Company in Poland, for many years. He was a member of the Tyrian Lodge No. 73 A.F. & A.M., the Kora Shriners and the American Legion in Mulberry, Fla. He enjoyed family gatherings, watching stock car racing and golfing.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn, of Mechanic Falls; his daughters, Darla Dunn-Morrell and her husband, Warren, Sherry Sears, Carlene Arsenault and her husband, Rick, and Marlene Larochelle and her husband, Carl; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Peter; and sisters Kathleen McAllister, Barbara Roy and Cola Thompson.
He was predeceased by a son, Jerry.
