LEWISTON — New Ventures Maine is offering a free, three-session class for people looking for guidance on how to write a business plan and start a business.

Classes will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on consecutive Wednesdays, Oct. 18 and 25 and Nov. 1, at the University of Southern Maine’s Lewiston-Auburn College, 51 Westminster St.

The class covers the business plan, marketing and cash planning and is suitable for those thinking about or who are in the startup phase of a new business. The class will be led by Karleen Andrews, microenterprise specialist for the Western Region of New Ventures Maine.
