MINOT — The Minot Historical Society hosted the first annual Lifted Truck and Off-Road Vehicle Show at Hemond’s Motocross & Off-Road Park on Aug. 19.

Over 50 vehicles and vendors came from across Maine and New Hampshire. The exhibition featured lifted street and off-road trucks, Jeeps (vintage and modern modifies), as well as other off-road vehicles.

There were many off-road vehicle clubs represented: Twisted Routes 4 x 4, Lake Region Jeepers, Penobscot Valley 4 Wheel Drive, Granite State Offroad, Central Maine Jeep Owners, Maine 4 x 4, Northern Fords, and Western Maine Mountain Jeepers.

All exhibit vehicles had the opportunity to ride Hemond’s new off-road park trail system, as well as try their hand in the mud pit.

Music was provided by Marc Geoffroy and Faceplant. MHS sold lunches and baked goods.

The society was able to raise a substantial amount that went directly to the society’s new historical 1830s parsonage.

It is looking forward to a bigger and more exciting weekend next year at Hemond’s MX.
