SOUTH PARIS — Joseph W. Childs of Buckfield died Monday, Sept. 11, surrounded by his loved ones.
Joe was born Jan. 20, 1945, in Augusta, to John and Thelma Childs of Manchester.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict. He had been a 24-year member of the Saracens Motorcycle Club, Turner Chapter. Joe had a big heart, a gentle soul and a great love of family, children, animals, Harley-Davidson motorcycles and a Bud and a Bud.
He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Darcie; his sons, Billy Joe (Marsha) and Kevin Childs; daughter, Kaytlen (Trevor) Davis; grandchildren, Jake, Christy, Josh, Marc Childs, Kayla Alston and Julian and Elise Davis; great-grandchildren, Joseph Childs, Isabella and Octavia Proctor; and siblings, Jack, Ernest, Billy (Vernan) Childs and Jacqueline (Lloyd) Cushing.
He was predeceased by his parents; infant sister, Sally; June Childs and Faye Kane Jr.
