FARMINGTON — A Franklin County public hearing on an amendment to the county’s Enterprise Tax Increment Financing Development Program has changed venue.
It will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26, at the Fairbanks School Meeting House at 508 Fairbanks Road/Route 4 in Farmington.
The third amendment to the 2008 TIF agreement related to the Kibby wind energy facility would add new public projects to the development program, extend the district term from 20 years to 30 years, adjust district boundaries, provide for the opportunity for public project financing through indebtedness and increase the captured assessed value in the district available for use by the county.

It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
