LEWISTON — Jacqueline Y. Caron, 76, of Lewiston, died Saturday, Sept. 23, at Central Maine Medical Center following a short illness.
She was born in Pond Rouge, Quebec, Canada on Feb. 18, 1941, the daughter of the late Jean Paul and Lucille (Chabot) Gauron. She was educated in Lewiston schools and was married to Roger W. Caron on Feb. 15, 1958.
Jacqueline was a military wife and traveled to Virginia Beach, Va., France and Alaska. She enjoyed bowling, camping and was an avid reader. She was devoted to her two dogs, Daisy and Molly.
She is survived by her husband, Roger of Lewiston; a son, Michael Caron and his wife, Roxanne of Hartford; six grandchildren, Elizabeth Caron Smith, Naomi, Rachel and John Caron, Michelle St. Hilaire and Shannon Sweaza; and several great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Debra Harvey; and by her parents.
