LEWISTON — Marc J. St. Jean, 38, of Lewiston, went to be with the Lord Jesus on Friday, Sept. 22, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston with his family by his side. He was born in Lewiston on March 26, 1979, a son of Jacques and Pauline (Couture) St. Jean. He grew up in the Lewiston area and attended local schools. He was a graduate of Lewiston High School, Class of 1997.

After high school Marc attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts where he earned his Bachelors of Science in mechanical engineering. After graduating from college Marc was hired by Lockheed Martin as a Quality Process Engineer, specializing in the components of missiles, and worked there for 14 years before moving back to Maine.

Marc will always be remembered for his love of music, sports and laughter. Whether it was getting hyped up during any New England sports game, playing the guitar and singing a song, or just hanging out and laughing that unmistakable and infectious laugh with his friends, he was in his glory. Marc was a very decorated and All-State football player, both in high school and college. He made his family, coaches and teammates very proud. He also was a very talented musician and singer. Marc was also the type of person you were proud to call your friend. He would help you in any way that he could at any time it was needed. He was very special and will be deeply missed by so many.

He is survived by his loving parents, Jacques and Pauline St. Jean of Lewiston; three nephews, Noah, Caleb and Josh; and his niece, Faith Perrier. Marc also leaves behind a special group of friends, that were not only just his friends, but family for life and they will never forget him.
