The end of an era in Farmington’s history started to come down Thursday as new owners began demolishing the former Joel Batzell Bridges property at 103 Bridge St. in Farmington. Robert “Nick” Nichols and Rachel Nichols of Farmington are tearing down  the property for a future commercial endeavor, Nick said. Bridges, a sometimes colorful character, passed away March 1, 2016.
